Some ideas... since I can't sleep :-):

What should I try outbound has been a bear lately.:


Accelerate handoffs and automation tasks. You can double conversions just by addressing inbound leads faster. Automating research is a fraction of the cost (and more reliable) than an SDR doing it. Not nearly enough teams take that seriously.

Personalization. Automation in sends is easy compared to research and segmentation, and it shows. People are savvier, burned out and the canned sends have become so obvious. You can increase revenue by 25-40% by getting closer to your prospect with meaningful content vs another blast. People are rewarding those that take the effort to understand them. Try segmenting and targeting based on in category behaviors (product adoption). It's routinely the single best predictor of purchase in our data.

Try personalities. It's not a hype... years ago we found support teams can increase net promoter scores 40% just by aligning people with similar personalities and interests. We used that premise in sales and have seen routinely impressive performance in that data in AI lead scoring. Assigning SDRs to leads by shared interests and behaviors vs a "round robin" of lead assignments is a no brainer. It's better performance and happier clients and WITHOUT additional training. We just did a case study with the two strategies combined and reduced the clients lead list 95% and accelerated deal velocity 6X. Even if you don't get better conversions, that's a lot of additional revenue.

Clean up the marketing to sales communication... both feedback and handoff. We still see most companies data is held together with duct tape and very few think they communicate well between the teams. There's a lot of room to grow (still) integrating siloed data and contact / lead databases. It's estimated Marketing and Sales share as little as 16% of their actual total contacts.

To improve outbound sales, consider accelerating handoffs and automating tasks to enhance lead response times, personalizing outreach to increase engagement and revenue, aligning sales representatives with leads based on shared interests to boost performance, and improving communication between marketing and sales teams to better integrate data and contacts.
