Title
I've been asked a couple times this week about the viability of creating a legitimately omni channel system. that pulls in all of my sales reps, conversations, all of their emails text media, other tools makes sense of them, turns them into a chat bot messaging system and then allows them to basically spit out that work as they go through so we can basically get better answers.
That model is doable, but it's still very time intensive to get all of the different data and silos to speak with one another. There's advancements in Apis and stuff that make that more doable. But having been on a call with at least one other vendor that was versed enough to try to actually quote the challenge, we were faced with the prospect of it being at least a year, if not 2 to 3 to start building something that complex. The challenge was something that complex is that it's also probably only a 1 size one customer system. And for that reason, unlike. to have a ton of ROI that you can scale or mitigate costs with by applying it to multiple systems. That being said, if it really works, it also potentially replaces multiple people and could be pretty expensive and still actually work well.
2 years was their quote “see you in 2028”
I thought last, but not much less. It's not an easy task.
Creating a legitimately omnichannel system that integrates sales reps, conversations, emails, and other tools into a chat bot messaging system is doable but time-intensive. It requires getting different data and silos to communicate, which can take 1 to 3 years to build. This complex system may only be suitable for one customer and could potentially replace multiple people, making it expensive yet effective.
